Improved Features
Interface reconstruction
The LusoCAD interface has been rebuilt using the WPF framework and our own technologies to offer both visual refinement and technical power:
- Reconstructed Interface: Redesigned colour schemes and proportions, with more than 1,500 icons redesigned in SVG for clear, fluid visualisation at any scale. The theme's colours and refined display effects create an elegant, modern look.
- Optimised performance: Based on a new WPF architecture with optimised secondary development APIs and faster data handling. Full compatibility with ACAD libraries guarantees cost-free migration to existing .NET-based workflows.
- Usability optimisation: The recent documents area now displays icons and names, with support for up to 50 entries. Subpanels can be pinned, tabs and ribbon panels can be customised quickly with the right mouse button, and the text editor is now integrated into the ribbon to save screen space, along with other carefully designed interface improvements.
Improved performance
LusoCAD 2026 represents a big leap in overall performance compared to the 2025 version, guaranteeing a faster, more fluid and more responsive drawing experience in every respect:
The speed at which drawings are opened has improved by an average of more than 40%.
Common operations have improved over 20% (REGEN, MOVE, COPYCLIP, MIRROR, UNDO, REDO, etc.).
In addition to these general improvements, the main performance optimisations are highlighted below:
DIMCORD
The DIMCORD command now uses guidelines instead of polylines, so that when you move a block of text, its guideline automatically follows it, making labelling more intuitive. The updated "Parameters" dialogue box also allows you to adjust the scale and height of the text, and includes new Group and AutoChange options to offer greater flexibility and ease of use.

Batch Plot
It is now possible to preview the frame entries sequentially. Clicking on any entry starts the preview, while pressing the spacebar advances through the frames, with the active frame highlighted.

Batch Purge
The Batch Purge tool now supports the purging of registered applications, zero-length geometries, empty text objects and orphaned drawing data.

PDF import
The PDF import engine has been updated to the modern, actively maintained PDFium library, which increases import speed, improves the representation of raster images (transparency, sharpness, colour accuracy), improves text recognition and decoding (text on the same line is recognised as MText, each character being assigned a width factor based on the first character) and offers a clearer view of shading.

Data extraction
LusoCAD 2026 now supports saving the extraction configuration in .GXE files and reusing them as templates. You can also edit .GXE files to add or delete drawings, objects or properties. Any table linked to the same .GXE file will show the changes when those tables are updated.

New Features
Parametric restrictions (Phase 2)
While parametric constraints were introduced in LusoCAD 2025 with support for geometric constraints, LusoCAD 2026 extends this powerful functionality with dimensional constraints and the Parameter Manager. These improvements allow precise control over object sizes and proportions, providing tools to create, edit and organise dimensional constraint parameters, reference parameters and user variables, offering greater drawing flexibility.

DWG Compare
This function compares a specified drawing with the current drawing, using revision clouds to highlight the differences. It allows you to configure the comparison settings, import objects from the compared drawing and export/link the results in new snapshot drawings for future reference.

New 3D Modelling Workspace
Introduces a specific interface for *3D Modelling* alongside the *LusoCAD Classic* and *Draw 2D* workspaces. Shows only 3D-related toolbars, menus and palettes, hiding unnecessary interface elements to maximise the screen area dedicated to the modeller.

New TIFF plotting option (CCITT G4)
This plotter produces exclusively black-and-white output and significantly reduces file size while preserving the precision of lines, texts and dimensions.

Tool palette: importing XTP files
Tool palettes can now be customised by importing XTP files, allowing you to integrate text, tabs and block references from ACAD configuration sets. This speeds up workflows and ensures consistency between projects.

Barcode holder (Code 39)
Adds compatibility with *Code 39* barcodes for low-cost alphanumeric labelling, widely accepted in industrial environments.

LusoCAD Plugin × ARCHLine.XP
Integrated with ARCHLine.XP, this add-on allows the direct transfer of drawings in DWG or IFC format between LusoCAD and ARCHLine.XP, eliminating time-consuming import/export steps and offering an effortless CAD→BIM workflow.

Tools for Markers and Centrelines
It adds specific tools for placing centre marks and centre lines on circles and symmetrical geometry. These associative objects automatically update with the geometry, increasing drawing precision and simplifying annotation in mechanical or architectural projects. (Available in SP1).

Innovative features
Drawing Merge
It allows you to analyse, split and merge drawings in batches using external references, with customisable layout settings. It also includes visualisation of entity properties and export of the drawing list to a *.lst* file, improving project organisation.
